Evan Ralph McNeil was born at 7:09 this morning, a mere 4 weeks early. The baby weighed in at a booming 5 lbs 7 oz and was an impressive 17.5 inches long. We will make a formal post when we have finalized the name of the baby, but we wanted to put some pictures up for everyone to see. Patrice was amazing and progressed very quickly through labor. Needless to say, we did not think we would be taking home a baby when we went into the hospital this morning. Thus, many of these pics are with my cell phone camera.

The best reason ever for an update! He looks totally beautiful and perfect. We are so happy that everything has turned out well and that baby McNeil is here without incident! But come on, a baby that cute deserves a name! You've had 9 months to think of one.

Wow. I was just going to stop at your parent's house and drop of the baby gift for you thinking you guys were up here. He is so cute. Can't wait to see more pictures. I will still take the gift tomorrow and hopefully someone can bring it down.

I am so excited, but so mad that I have to wait a full 2 weeks to see that boy! I was so worried all morning as I was getting ready to leave the morning you had [enter name here] and was carrying around my phone so much that I forgot to pack it...then I was going crazy not knowing what was happening!

I know you planned it to have him 2 days after I left. He is so round and cute! Those cheeks look very soft and squishable. A whole month early! You are so lucky you missed out on the last month it is miserable. Although it is a good month to mentally prepare... Congratulations!
Congratulations guys!!! He is so cute! Allen, I called the hotel in Paris and left a message for your parents. We have been dying since we arrived back at our hotel last night and the desk clerk gave us a note that said, "You have a grandson." Nowa We were cazy trying to call someone and finally got Tim when he got home from church. We wish we could see our little man, but I guess our girl will take care and help until Sue arrives and we get back. He is absolutely beautiful and we love him no matter what his name turns out to be. Take care and make sure you follow my advice, Allen! Good work, Patrice!
Grandpa here;
We have been all over the country in the past two days and have seen many beautiful things, none so beautiful as our new grandson. Thank you both for being such good kids and for being willing to give of yourselves to bring a new life into this world. We love you.

Congratulations you guys! I am happy for Patrice that she delivered a baby half the size of Ethan...makes for a much better recovery! He is adorable and maybe one day we will get to meet him...that is if we ever get together. What is our problem?!? So is his not really Evan? We really like Ralph. Good luck you guys.

Congratulations! I looked at Giselle's blog and decided to stop by and find out when the due date was and was totally surprised to find he's here! Well congrats! He looks so perfect! I'm curious about if you know why he was so early?
Also, I don't know if I ever told you Allen that I relayed that comment about the wrestling story to Wes and he got a big kick out of it! He laughed then said, "I was a bit of a smart-aleck wasn't I?"
