Angel of Music

For Valentine’s Day Rick and I decided we would treat our wives to a night out on the town. Rick suggested that we take them to see The Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian. I was surprised that Rick would come up with such a sweet Valentine’s surprise for his wife, but I later learned that Rick is a die hard Phantom fanatic. Despite Rick wearing his Phantom mask as his “I [heart] Christine” t-shirt, it was an absolutely wonderful night. The performance was spectacular! I don’t know if Patrice appreciated that I would only speak in song for the rest of the night, but we couldn’t stop talking about how great of a show it was. This is a shot of the theater at the Venetian. You can’t image all the special effects and how the stage transforms so quickly between scenes. I’m sure the performance would be good no matter where you see it, but it was truly amazing to see it in a theater that was built specifically for it.
Speaking of Angel of Music, look at this unbelievably gorgeous angel. We have had several requests to post a picture of Patrice’s baby bump. Sadly, my baby bump is substantially larger than hers, but there will be no pictures.
A little closer shot.
A few weeks ago I had to fly up to Reno for a hearing. This sign was only a few blocks from the courthouse so I thought I would walk down and take a picture to document my trip to the biggest little city in the world.
I also took a picture of the courthouse because I loved the fact that it was the old original courthouse of Reno. Stay tuned for more pictures of this beautiful city as I will be flying back in March.

Patrice--you look absolutely amazing! Are you sure you're pregnant? That was very nice of you, Allen, and Rick to do such a thoughtful thing for your wives. We would love love love it if you would stop and see us! We miss you guys a lot, and Jackie Chan will hardly know his favorite Uncle Al if you don't!

Yeah an update. The perks of living in such a city where you are close to an awesome cultural experience. I would love it if Tim started singing everything to me, you are a hopeless romantic!!!

Best post ever. I can't wait to hear all about the Phantom night. As we speak, Tyler is asking if I am writing something rude about how he refused to take me to the Phantom.... I guess I will just have to tell you about how rude he is over the phone. I love your LITTLE baby bump. You aren't going to be one of those people that wears her size 2 jeans home from the hospital, are you? Team LC Forever!

It seems I have waited forever for this new post and here I am clear down at post #6!!! I was so excited when you told me you and Rick had taken Patrice and Olivia to see Phantom! It is a great show no matter what, but to actually see it live and in a theater built specifically for it -- AMAZING!!! Dad and I are planning on coming down I think in April and maybe we could go see it??? Patrice, you look so cute with a little baby bump! I hope you are getting over your sickness and feeling better. Reno looks like a very interesting little city and the building does look beautiful! We are looking forward to your arrival next Sunday, Allen and we WILL be better so you can stay with us (we won't even bug you -- you can hibernate in one of the bedrooms and gaze out any window at the beautiful scenery --snow!!!)

What a lovely lady bump! Um, OK. Did you just want to get Zach in trouble or something? He is going to die when he sees you took patrice to phantom. I was just crying to him this weekend about how he could try something romantic, especially since he knows I was dying to see that show while we were here. I am so mad at him now. So very very mad. Oh no he will be home in 5 minutes. I better count to 10...

Alan, this is Brian. I see you've been busy going to musicals and making caramels... Not the same Alan I remember from USU (although one Christmas, you did decorate the entertainment center with a holiday village!) If I remember correctly, you called me your angel of music, but apparently you've forgotten! All seriousness, congrats on the baby boy announcement. (don't teach him how to make baked goods, however!)

So I love the belly shots... Take on every month. That is something I neglected to do and wish I would have. You're getting closer. I am just so excited for you. We need to talk about when you want to do your friends shower. Email me and let me know when you guys are planning on coming up in April & May and I will get on it. I'm so jealous that you have so many amazing things to do in Vegas. If Wicked was playing there I'm pretty sure I would move down and get a season pass to it and go every night!!! Hope you're feeling good... MAKE SURE TO EMAIL ME!!! I need to know some dates!

Hi Allen and Patrice! I happened on your blog and it's fun to see what you are both up to these days. Looks like life is going well and also, CONGRATS on the baby news too! That's really exciting --- and Patrice, you hardly look pregnant (of course)! Hope you're feeling well and don't have a bad case of "morning sickness". :) Take care~ Jenny (Smoot) Preece

Thank you so much Patrice. And your Baby Bump is so Adorable!!! I am so very excited for you guys and having a boy at that. That is so exciting and I bet you both are so happy for this bundle to arrive. And about us having more kids it will be a couple of more years we are really just enjoying our little Courteney she is so very entertaining right now and so fun to watch her learn and do things on her own so we've decided to wait at least that. Well I miss you and I am glad that there is a way of us keeping in touch, we will have to chat more often if possible. Love you guys and hope to talk again soon. Cousin Betsy.
