We know, we know. Worst bloggers ever. Remember when I (Patrice) didn't want a blog because our lives weren't interesting enough? Well now our lives are interesting, but we don't have time to blog. Allen is the usual blogger at our house but since he only comes home to visit us every now and then, he's not blogging in his spare time. He usually comes home at 5 to kiss Evan and then back to work until 8 or later. Since getting a shower is quite the feat for me, I certainly can't blog. Anyway, we know what you're really here to see so, here is a picture of our little Evan boy.
Sleep deprivation has been great though. It has helped us discover Allen's secret talent. I know all new parents complain about this, but to be fair, it's not our baby. He is a very good baby. It's those darn Olympics which are only on in the middle of the night. Anyway, back to secret talent. The other night Allen and Evan were sitting in front of the tv and I asked Allen if he could put the sheets on the bed while I got in the shower. I get out of the shower, no sheets on the bed. I slam some drawers to make sure he knows I'm out of the shower, he never comes. Furious, I go to see what the issue is. I find them sleeping on the couch. As I suspected. I kindly asked him if he would like me to put sheets on the bed. I then marched myself back to the bedroom. A few minutes later Allen comes in and cheerfully says, "Oh, there aren't any blankets on the bed." I'm sure I don't need to describe what happened next. Someone became very angry and someone pretended to look shocked. The next night was when we discovered the talent. Allen asked me why I got mad at him and after discussion he told me we never had a conversation about the sheets. Secret talent: Allen can appear wide awake and carry on full conversations while sleeping. Ridiculous.
Well, here are some of our favorite pictures from the last few months in no particular order. (Mainly because putting them in order is going to be a huge difficulty and I want to go to bed.)
Daddy and Evan before church this morning. Please ignore the white trash dent out of our garage stucco. I have no idea where it came from. Probably from someone trying to break into our garage.
Evan loves to stick his thumbs out of his jammies. We think it is the cutest thing ever!
Our sweetest Tess girl on her 5th Birthday. (No she isn't ours, but we hope to have a little girl as cute as her some day. The odds are good since she looks so much like she belongs to Allen.)
The Three Boy cousins and their dads at the Bisel Reunion.
Evan in his lion towel after a bath. (This is a rare moment of happiness after a bath, since he HATES lotion.)
Ellie and Evan on the 4th of July. How lucky is he to have such sweet cousins to take care of him?
Last but not least, Evan and Eli on the 4th. We were at Billie Jo's, hence the pink background. (Rick, don't worry it's fine for your son to have his picture taken on a pink blanket.)
Hopefully it won't be another month... but we aren't making any promises.

Fantastic update! We really miss that Evan boy and his parents. I hope that Allen knows how lucky he is to have such a great wife that can blog, work, and make beds! I think Evan has gotten even bigger since the reunion. Maybe all that fresh mountain air gave him a growth spurt. I think he needs another dose of mountain air. I know that fall is his parent's favorite time of year and hopefully they will be planning a trip! The pink blanket brings out the adorable cheeks in both boys. Love the post, keep them coming!!
Those pictures are great! What a cute little guy! I love the picture of with his little thumbs sticking out of the pajamas, that's awesome! I hope you guys are doing well. It sounds like your pretty busy but we love hearing the news and seeing the updates. Keep the pictures coming! We'll see you guys later!
allen cracks me up. Good to see your update. Your boy is way cute. We want you guys in utah soon.
Yay a new post! I've been dying to see pictures of your son and it was worth the wait. What a handsome little guy! Gotta love those thumbs.
You know Patrice, you could use that talent of Allen's to your advantage. Just be sure to arm yourself with a tape recorder...dun dun dun.
Oh, what a cute little guy! Isn't it amazing how quickly they get big. He looks great. I am so glad you put some pictures of him on your blog because I feel like I won't know him the next time I see him, they change so fast. I hope things settle down for you Las Vegans and you can visit again soon.
Evan has such squeezable cheeks. So cute! I'll send you an invite to our blog.
Oh that little guy(with extremely large cheeks!) is sooooo cute! I loved that we got to see you guys during the reunion, it was so much fun. Hope to see more wonderful updates!
Grandma is so proud of little Evan -- he is the most handsome Evan I have ever seen! He looks like he is so smart to know how to get his thumbs out of his jamies and all. We are certainly looking forward to more pictures ono the blog and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this post! Keep them coming!
The thumb sucking is the cutest thing ever. He is so sweet and we can't wait to see him in person. Do you think that will ever happen???
I was so excited to see a new post. I wish you would have brought Evan to visit while you were here. Now that I live just across the field from the McNeils it should be easier to fit me in... He is getting so chubby, I love those cheeks and the picture of him sucking his thumb is my all time favorite. Thanks for sharing... Please post more, and SOON!!!
No fair...you can't expect me to cope with such large doses of cuteness all at once. I'm overwhelmed! I haven't seen this boy in a month and I cannot even believe how big he is and adorable he is! I didn't get to see him at the reunion (waaaaaah) so I want to squeeze him and play with those cheekies!
I love all your pictures, but especially the thumbs hanging out of the jammies. Please give me my doses of Evan cute-osity in more regular doses! You can do it!!!!
He is a cute little guy. I am glad to see that he was able to catch some candy at the parade.
I think Allen could probably expand his talent and do some blogging in his sleep, then we could see more pictures of that cute little Evan!!! I am glad you got a minute to do it though, it was great to hear from you and see the cute pictures. I can see you are a proud mommy. I think you just need to stop taking a bath and blog in that time!!!
